Asia Tech Wire (June 17) -- Coupang, South Korea's largest e-commerce platform, has been fined 140 billion won for alleged algorithm manipulation.
The Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) on Thursday fined Coupang and one of its subsidiaries a total of 140 billion won, the highest fine ever imposed on a retailer in South Korea.
It fined the company for allegedly manipulating search algorithms to support its private brand (PB) products.
