Approaching to 315 World Consumer Rights Day, a Chinese media outlet purchased 507 pirated books on Pinduoduo, one of China’s largest e-commerce platforms.
It ordered 1,000 books, but actually received just 574 books. After multiple identifications, 507 pirated books were found.
The media outlet claims that it launched complaints with the stores and platform’s customer service professionals, but most of the stores did not admit selling pirated books.
They ended the conversation with “you can return it if you don't like it.” These customer service staffs told it that the pirated books were not fake.
