Chinese phone maker Honor denied the rumor that it did not get the Android license from Google.
A netizen revealed on China's Twitter-like Weibo that although Honor has been independent of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., it has not got the Android license from Google so far, and its overseas market will be affected.
Honor, once a Huawei-owned brand, was sold in November 2020 due to U.S. tech restrictions. After that, Honor broke away from Huawei.
On Monday morning, the company responded that it is false news.
