Asia Tech Wire (Oct 23) -- OpenAI has hired former Uber executive Scott Schools as its first Chief Compliance Officer.

The appointment is OpenAI's latest effort to adapt to emerging global regulations around artificial intelligence.

Schools was previously Uber's chief ethics and compliance officer, and he also served as a deputy attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice.
