NIO co-founder and president Qin Lihong revealed that NIO will have more than 200 battery swapping stations available to the public next quarter. The cumulative number of battery swapping stations in operation will exceed 500. By 2025, NIO will deploy more than 4,000 battery swapping stations worldwide.

NIO will launch two battery swapping stations in Norway by the end of the third quarter, which is the first time NIO launched a station overseas.

By the year 2025, NIO plans to have more than 4,000 exchange stations worldwide. Over 700 stations will be in operation by the end of this year, with more than 600 new stations added each year from 2022 to 2025. By 2025, NIO will have approximately 1,000 exchange stations installed outside of China.
