Asia Tech Wire (June 26) -- Chinese electric-vehicle maker Hozon New Energy Automobile Co. Ltd., commonly known as Neta Auto, filed for listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
The company hired CICC, Morgan Stanley, CITIC Securities, ABC International and CMB International as joint sponsors for the IPO.
Neta Auto exported 16,458 units from January to May 2024, ranking No. 1 in export volume for emerging EV makers, data showed.
And the electric carmaker exported 17,000 units in 2023, accounting for 13.7% of its total sales for the year, with its products mainly exported to the Southeast Asian market.
Founded in 2014, Neta Auto owns 1 complete vehicle manufacturing plant in China.
In addition, its factories in Thailand and Indonesia have already started production in March and May 2024, respectively, and the construction of its factory in Malaysia has begun in January 2024.
Earlier, there were reports that Neta Auto was planning to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to raise about $1 billion.
