Asian Tech Press -- Elon Musk, founder and CEO of Tesla Inc, tweeted praise for China on the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party.
China's state-run Xinhua News Agency tweeted Thursday to celebrate the country's achievement of its first centenary goal, one of the "Two Centenary Goals", the basic foundation for achieving the "Chinese Dream".
The two ideas mentioned are advanced by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The American billionaire commented on Xinhua's tweet and praised China's economic boom. He also encouraged everyone to visit China and see for themselves.
China, the second-largest market for Tesla after the US, has contributed about 30% of its global sales. At the same time, China is the world's largest electric vehicle market.
According to a recent study by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), China is the world's largest producer of electric vehicles, accounting for about 44% of electric vehicles manufactured around the world.
All told that China is significant for Tesla. So it's no wonder that Musk commented on such an important and special day for China.
