Asia Tech Wire (July 17) -- Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that he will relocate the headquarters of spaceX and X to Texas.
Specifically, SpaceX will move its headquarters from Hawthorne, California to Starbase, Texas, and X's headquarters will move from California to Austin, Texas.
Musk said he's upset about a new law in California, which aims to prevent schools from revealing students' sexual orientation or gender identity to parents without their consent.
Previously, the U.S. billionaire had also changed the domicile of several of his companies after he was upset that a judge ruled that his compensation package as CEO of Tesla was invalid.
In June, he decided to shift Tesla's incorporation from Delaware to Texas.
