Musk-owned X to continue suing advertiser coalition
Aug.14,2024

Asia Tech Wire (Aug 14) -- Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, will still continue to file an antitrust lawsuit against several major brands and an advertising industry group, CEO Linda Yaccarino said Tuesday.

X last week sued the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and its members, including Unilever and Mars, for conspiring to violate monopoly laws.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk completed his acquisition of the popular social media platform in October 2022.

X expects to generate about $2 billion in ad revenue this year, compared to Twitter's $4.5 billion in 2021, according to Axios.
