Asia Tech Wire (July 23) -- Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the start of work on the world's most powerful AI training cluster in a post on social media platform X on Monday.

Musk said, "Nice work by the xAI team, the X team, Nvidia & supporting companies getting Memphis Supercluster training started at ~4:20am local time."

According to Musk, the cluster uses 100,000 liquid-cooled H100s on a single RDMA fabric, making it "the most powerful AI training cluster in the world."

He also revealed that its goal is to train "the world's most powerful AI by every metric by December this year."
