Media: Pfizer may offer free Covid-19 vaccine for Tokyo Olympics-related personnel

In an interview with people involved in the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, Kyodo News learned on the 24th that in addition to the Japanese athletes' delegation, the Covid-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer is expected to be provided free of charge to some volunteers, interpreters, referees and other Olympic-related personnel.

The specific targets will be further discussed depending on the level of contact with the participants. Pfizer estimates that approximately 20,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine will be provided, of which about 2,500 doses are expected to be required for the Japanese delegation.
