Asian Tech Press (Mar. 7) -- The Netherlands unit of Chinese solar manufacturer LONGi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd. has been ordered by a Dutch court to stop the sale of six module products in 11 European countries for allegedly infringing on patents of South Korea's Hanwha Solutions Corp.
The 11 countries are Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Austria, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, according to an exchange filing released by LONGi on Monday.
The judgment also requires Longi Netherlands to send correction letters to its customers in the above countries, informing them that the relevant products may infringe and that the products can be returned to it at the company's expense.
LONGi believes that the content of this judgment lacks legal basis and facts, and will immediately file an appeal according to relevant laws.
According to LONGi, the subject of this judgment is only for its Netherlands unit, and the behavior and customers of other subsidiaries are not restricted, which will not have substantial impact on the compan's operation and future development.
