Asia Tech Wire (Aug 13) -- South Korea's LG Energy Solution (LGES) is making every effort to develop square batteries.

LGES has set up a specialized team to develop square batteries and is in talks with customers.

According to the South Korean battery maker, there is a growing demand for these batteries in the electric vehicle market due to improved safety and cost-effective production processes.
