Asia Tech Wire (Oct 24) -- Chinese PC maker Lenovo Group has appointed former Dell executive Ashley Gorakhpurwalla as president of ISG.

The Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), delivering end-to-end data center solutions to simplify IT and accelerate digital transformation, is one of Lenovo's three business groups.

Lenovo has announced the appointment of Gorakhpurwalla as president of ISG, replacing Kirk Skaugen, who left the company in June, and as a member of the Lenovo Executive Committee (LEC), the group's leadership team.

Gorakhpurwalla has led multi-billion dollar revenue-sized infrastructure systems and storage businesses at a number of global technology companies.

He was previously president and general manager of Server and Infrastructure Systems at Dell EMC.
