According to Kenyan press Nation, the International Livestock Research Institute genetic's Specialist Scientist in Genomics and Molecular Biology Dr. Samuel Oyola said that in addition to the mutant strains found in Brazil, Kenya has found the remaining three strains of what the WHO called "worrying Covid-19 variants".

The mutant strains were first found in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and India.
