Asian Tech Press (Jan 6) -- Jidu Auto, a smart electric vehicle venture between Chinese search engine giant Baidu Inc. and Chinese automaker Geely, said first mass-produced model will feature Nvidia's chip for self-driving cars.
Baidu and its smart car company Jidu Auto announced Thursday during the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that Jidu's first mass-produced model will be powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin™ SoC (system on a chip).
And the model is expected to be available in 2023 and will be a car robot that has the Level 4 self-driving capability. Meanwhile, a concept car of the product is expected to be officially unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year.
