Mar.8,2021

JD.com may withdraw its fintech unit’s IPO from the Science and Technology Innovation Board of Shanghai Stock Exchange (Shanghai Star Market), sources say.

The company, which changed its name from JD Digits to JD Technology since absorbing JD.com’s artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing business in January, may resubmit its IPO in the future.

JD Technology’s IPO application is also on hold. The Shanghai Stock Exchange and the China Securities Regulatory Commission have neither approved nor rejected its application. Spokesmen for the stock market operator and securities regulator could not be reached for comment.
