Dec.13,2021

Asian Tech Press (Dec 13) -- According to NHK, some Japanese automakers have created new driving devices to make it easier for people with physical disabilities to drive.

Mazda has developed a device that makes it easier for people with lower limb disabilities to drive. The device's steering wheel is in the form of a dual ring. Pressing the inner ring can replace the accelerator to accelerate, and the brake can be controlled by the lever on the left side of the steering wheel.

In addition, Honda is also developing a device that allows people with upper limb disabilities to switch directions and operate the gearshift through the pedal under their feet.
