Asia Tech Wire (July 30) -- Japan's Isuzu Motors will start selling electric trucks in North America in August, according to Nikkei.
The latest report said that Isuzu will start sales of locally-assembled compact electric trucks in North America next month, expanding to midsize trucks in 2026.
The move is in an effort to catch up with the U.S. government's implementation of stricter vehicle emissions regulations starting in 2027.
The company will export parts from Japan and have them assembled by a local partner.
