Asia Tech Wire (July 17) -- The shipments of Huawei's Pura 70 series of smartphones have increased by 125% over its predecessor, a Chinese media report has claimed on Wednesday.

As of July 16, shipments of the entire Huawei Pura 70 series have increased by 125% year-on-year compared to the P60 series, the report said, citing a source familiar with the matter within Huawei.

The Pura 70 is the first model after Huawei upgraded its P series, with a triangular weathervane design and a super spotlight telescopic camera.

On April 18, 2024, the Huawei Pura 70 series of phones went on sale in China.

At that time, TechInsights published a report stating that Huawei shipped 6.2 million units of the Mate 60 Pro series of phones in China between August and December 2023, thus predicting that the company will ship more than 10 million units of the Pura 70 series in 2024.
