Asia Tech Wire (Apr 25) -- Chinese electric car maker Hozon Auto's first Neta electric car rolled off the production line at its Indonesian factory.
Hozon Aut's first Indonesian factory in Jakarta officially started production and rolled out the new car on Monday.
The company, commonly known as Neta Auto, expected the plant to have an annual capacity of 30,000 units.
Zhou Jiang, vice president of Hozon Auto and president of its overseas business division, said at a line-off ceremony on Monday that the company is vigorously promoting localization in the Southeast Asian market.
In addition to its plant in Indonesia, Hozon Auto has already set up an eco-smart factory for mass production in Thailand.
The Chinese EV maker said it is actively working on a third overseas factory in Malaysia.
