Great Wall Motor (GWM), China's largest SUV and pickup manufacturer, will launch production in Thailand.

GWM will convert the plant acquired from US-based General Motors (GM) in 2020 to build hybrid vehicles first. It will start accepting reservations between April and June.

The company also plans to invest 22.6 billion baht (about $730 million), to launch production of pure electric vehicles after 2023.
