Asia Tech Wire (Sep 5) -- General Motors said Wednesday it will begin production in Brazil of its first-ever hybrid-flex car, which has a battery that can run on 100% ethanol or gasoline.
The automaker said in a statement that it will produce two hybrid models at its plant in Brazil's Sao Paulo state, but did not specify which ones.
GM didn't say when it plans to launch the hybrids, but one of its local unions said the first model would hit the market in 2025.
