American video game and software company Epic Games has filed a lawsuit against Google in the Federal Court of Australia.

Epic Games said Google abused its control over the Android operating system, and violated Australian consumer law. Google has made it “extremely difficult” for Android users to install apps without Google Play Store.

The company is not seeking damages from Google, but asking the court to set enforceable guidelines to create “fair access and competition” in the app store.
