Asian Tech Press (Feb 24) -- Chinese ride-hailing giant DiDi Global Inc. (DIDI) will reportedly cease operations in Russia and Kazakhstan as of March 4.

Citing Irina Guschina, Didi's PR director in Russia and the CIS, Russian news agency TASS reported that the company will stop operations in Russia and Kazakhstan as of March 4 this year.

Didi has been operating in Russia for a year and a half, and in Kazakhstan for almost a year.

The report noted that the Chinese company will continue to focus on business development and investment in Latin American countries, as well as in a number of markets in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
