Asia Tech Wire (Aug 6) -- Dell Technologies Inc. is making layoffs as part of a reorganization of its sales team, according to Bloomberg.

The reorganization measures also include the creation of a new team focused on artificial intelligence products and services.

According to Monday's report, Dell sales executives Bill Scannell and John Byrne wrote in a memo to employees Monday, "We're streamlining layers of management and reprioritizing where we invest."

In addition to creating an AI-focused team, the two executives said the company will change the way it sells data centers.
