Chinese smart car solutions provider Black Sesame passes HKEX hearing

Asia Tech Wire (June 13) -- Chinese smart car solution provider Black Sesame International Holding Ltd. passed a hearing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

The company plans to list on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with CICC and Huatai International acting as joint sponsors.

Founded in 2016, Black Sesame is a high-tech company specializing in self-driving computing chips and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

The company's customer base grew from 45 as of Dec. 31, 2021 to 85 as of Dec. 31, 2023, according to the filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

As of June 4, 2024, it has worked with more than 49 automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, including FAW Group, JAC Group, ECARX Holdings, Baidu, Bosch and ZF Group, the company said.

During the same period Black Sesame has received intentional orders for 23 models from 16 automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
