Asia Tech Wire (Aug 7) -- Chinese online shopping platform Dewu, also known as POIZON, announced on Wednesday that it has launched an organizational efficiency drive and will streamline its staff by about 5%.

In a company-wide letter, Dewu said that in order to maintain business competitiveness in the long term in a more complex market environment, the company has to be more determined to gather resources in its core business and higher input-output ratio projects, stop or significantly reduce investment in low input-output ratio projects, and regulate the organization into a more efficient and leaner state to achieve long-term growth.

Following the announcement of this action, the company plans to communicate with the employees involved one by one to provide appropriate support such as financial compensation.
