Chinese insurance company Ping An Insurance Group Co of China Ltd (2318:Hong Kong) has refused to provide car insurance services for new Tesla owners in some provinces and cities in China, and the policy has been tightened for those whose insurance has expired and needs to be renewed, some media report.

A source from Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company of China, Ltd., a subsidiary of Ping An Insurance, told Asian Tech Press that, "After verification, the company has not suspended insurance services for new Tesla owners in some provinces and cities."
