Asia Tech Wire (Oct 9) -- Zeekr, the smart electric vehicle brand owned by Chinese automaker Geely, has announced its entry into the Colombian market.

And it plans to initially introduce two models, the Zeekr 001 sedan and the Zeekr X SUV, to the country.

Zeekr's entry into the Colombian market will focus on investing in charging facilities and technology development to ensure a quality experience for consumers, the company said.

According to Colombian newspaper El Observador, Zeekr is expanding into the Colombian market through local distributor Astara.

Astara, which represents a total of 12 imported car brands in Colombia, will provide Zeekr with digital marketing and distribution representation.
