Asian Tech Press (Nov 09) -- Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME) has announced a music licensing partnership with Apple Music, which will now allow some of TME Music Cloud's record labels and artists to be distributed worldwide through Apple Music, bringing quality music content from TME's domestic labels and creators to Apple Music users around the world.
Tencent Music said the music licensing partnership with Apple Music will help promote higher quality Chinese music overseas, enhance the global reach of quality Chinese music, and realize the global value of music works.
As a global music distribution platform launched by TME, TME Music Cloud will provide worldwide omnichannel distribution services for many partner labels and creators through core functions such as "content self-management", "online distribution and promotion", "royalty revenue settlement" and "music data insight".
Meanwhile, TME's industry resources and Tencent's social ecology will provide comprehensive assistance to content creators in content production, promotion and commercial realization.
