Asian Tech Press (Aug 27)-- According to media reports, Chinese video-sharing app Kuaishou is currently negotiating with NBA for a strategic partnership. Both parties plan to cooperate in terms of content rights and brand commercialization.
In terms of content, Kuaishou will hold the rights to NBA content and past games. In terms of brand commercialization, Kuaishou plans to join hands with NBA to explore various cooperation models in terms of brand commercialization, advertising and live e-commerce. The two sides are expected to disclose the negotiation progress later this year.
Kuaishou is a Chinese video-sharing mobile application with a solid user base outside of China's first-tier cities. It had partnered with Tokyo Olympics, Beijing Winter Olympics and CBA (Chinese Basketball Association).
