Asian Tech Press (Dec 16) -- ChatGPT developer OpenAI expected to reach $1 billion in revenue by 2024, sources said.

OpenAI, the developer of the popular chatbot ChatGPT, recently told investors that it projected revenue to reach $200 million next year and $1 billion in 2024, Reuters reported exclusively on Thursday.

The company recently had a second stock offering that valued itself at $20 billion, the report said, citing a person familiar with the matter.

A spokesperson for OpenAI declined to comment on the company's finances and corporate strategy.
