Asia Tech Wire (June 20) -- Chinese battery giant CATL announced last week new organizational structure and reporting relationship changes regarding its manufacturing business, according to Chinese media outlet LatePost.

In an article, LatePost said the restructuring mainly involves CATL's manufacturing system.

Before the shake-up, CATL's 40-plus factories fell under six regions, each of which was under the charge of a regional manager who reported to Chunyan Feng, co-president of CATL's supply chain and operations system, who reported to CATL chairman Robin ZENG.

After the restructuring, all CATL factories have been reorganized into two regions, domestic and overseas, with Guoping AN and Xia HUA, who were among the original regional managers, serving as the head of overseas and domestic manufacturing operations, respectively, and reporting directly to Zeng.
