National Business Wire (Jan 3) -- Cathay Pacific (0293.HK) announced Wednesday it intends to buy six Airbus A350F aircraft for a base price of about US$2.710 billion (HK$21.138 billion).

The largest carrier in Hong Kong said it paid less than the base price because Airbus gave it a significant price break on the planes.

Cathay Pacific expected the six Airbus aircraft to be delivered by the end of 2029.
