Asia Tech Wire (Sep 23) -- Boeing has pledged to support Vietnam in building aviation infrastructure.

Boeing Global President Brendan Nelson said during a meeting with Vietnam's top leader To Lam in New York on Sunday that Boeing has committed to supporting Vietnam in building aviation ecosystems, airplane repair and maintenance facilities, and training workers, according to a statement on the Vietnamese government's website.

Nelson said the company will focus on helping Vietnam build aviation infrastructure.

During the meeting, To Lam urged Boeing to invest in aircraft parts manufacturing plants and maintenance centers in Vietnam.
