Asian Tech Press (Nov 29) -- Researchers expect BOE, a Chinese screen maker that has entered the iPhone supply chain, to supply 50 million OLED screens to Apple in the next year.
The research institute also expects that among the iPhone's screen suppliers, Samsung Display aims to supply 150 million OLED screens to Apple next year, while LG Display is supplying 70 million. BOE's 50 million pieces have been equivalent to 70% of LG Display, the gap between the supply will be significantly reduced.
BOE is expected to supply Apple with 18 million OLED panels. 1500 of them will be used on iPhone 12, and the rest will be used on iPhone 13.
