Asia Tech Wire (Sep 6) -- The BMW Group announced on Thursday that it will launch its first production fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) for the market in 2028.

BMW is the first premium automaker in the world to launch its first mass-produced fuel cell vehicle, which will represent an important milestone for the automotive industry, said BMW Group Chairman Oliver Zipse.

BMW said it has foreseen a significant increase in demand for fuel cell vehicles in the market in the future.
