Asia Tech Wire (May 31) -- U.S. investment management company Blackstone Inc. will buy Japanese e-comics provider Infocom Corp., according to Bloomberg.

Citing people familiar with the matter, a Bloomberg report said Blackstone has agreed to buy the operator of the popular manga app Mecha Comic.

The deal could value Infocom at around 260 billion yen ($1.66 billion).
