National Business Wire (Dec 6) -- Binance's new chief executive Richard Teng refused to disclose the location of its global headquarters at a conference on Tuesday, according to the Financial Times.

Speaking at the Financial Times' Crypto and Digital Assets Summit in London via video, Teng said the cryptocurrency exchange had no global headquarters, and "it's under consideration."

He said Binance has undergone audits in regulated jurisdictions , but declined to name a specific auditor.

"Is there a need for us to share all of this information publicly? No." Teng said.

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao stepped down as CEO at the end of November as part of a settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice on anti-money laundering and other charges.

Following Zhao's guilty plea, Binance appointed Teng, its global head of regional markets, to take over as CEO.
