Asian Tech Press -- SpaceX's satellite internet network Starlink will be available nearly worldwide by August, except for the North and South Poles, Musk said Tuesday in a presentation at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) conference.
Musk said Starlink is "operational now in about 12 countries, and more are being added every month.”
As of February, Starlink had about 10,000 subscribers, but this month it is approaching 70,000, Musk stated.
"We are on our way to having a few hundred thousand users, possibly over 500,000 users within 12 months," Musk said.
Starlink is now the largest satellite constellation in the world, with more than 1,500 satellites launched to orbit to date.
