Asia Tech Wire (Sep 27) -- U.S. chip design giant Arm had approached Intel to buy its product division, according to Bloomberg.
Thursday's report cited people familiar with the matter as saying that Arm had been in contact with Intel about acquiring its product division, but was told that the business was not up for sale.
And in high-level inquiries, Arm did not show interest in Intel's manufacturing business.
A few days ago the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter reported that Qualcomm also approached Intel on a takeover deal.
