Asian Tech Press (Mar. 15) -- Apple supplier Foxconn is expected to start mass production of the iPhone 13 in April at its factory in India.
Seven months after the launch in India, Apple is expected to begin production of the iPhone 13 in April at a Foxconn plant in Sriperumbudur near Chennai.
These phones manufactured by the plant are likely to be sold domestically in India and exported abroad, according to Indian media outlet Business Standard.
Production of iPhone 13 at the Chennai plant, located in the state of Tamil Nadu, was supposed to begin in January this year, but Apple postponed production after 250 Foxconn workers were treated for food poisoning last December, then restarted the production line in February.
