Asian Tech Press (Nov 30) -- According to the latest data from research firm Counterpoint Research, Apple's iPhone sales in China grew 46 percent year-over-year in October, making it the largest smartphone vendor in the Chinese market.
Driven by the iPhone 13 series, Apple's iPhone sales in China grew 46 percent in October from a year earlier, overtaking Vivo to become the largest smartphone vendor for the first time since December 2015, Counterpoint Research said in its report.
By comparison, the Chinese smartphone market was up 2% in October from a year earlier. While iPhone sales grew, other major smartphone makers experienced sales declines.
Counterpoint Research research director Tarun Pathak said Apple could have won more market share if there hadn't been a chip shortage. Apple's supply chain management is better compared to other handset makers.
