Asia Tech Wire (Jan 19) -- Apple Inc. is offering a 25% discount to employees who buy its Vision Pro headset.

Bloomberg reported that Apple employees can get a 25% discount on buying the $3,499 Vision Pro, the company said in a memo on Thursday.

The amount, is less than the 50% discount Apple offered with the launch of its smartwatch and HomePod smart speaker, even though those products had lower sticker prices.

With the 25% discount, the cost of the headset will drop to about $2,600 without tax and options.

Additionally, Apple employees can apply the $500 credit they have earned for the purchase of a new Mac every three years to the headset.

Apple will even reimburse the cost of prescription lenses for the mixed reality device, according to the memo.
