Asian Tech Press (Nov 21) -- Apple Inc. may start shipping its Vision Pro headset in March next year, according to the latest market news.

Mark Gurman, a columnist who studies Apple Inc., revealed in the latest edition of Power On Newsletter for Bloomberg that Apple still needs to refine its distribution plan for the Vision Pro and conduct further testing.

Apple Vision Pro, the iPhone maker's first mixed reality device capable of both virtual and augmented reality experiences, formally debuted in June.

Gurman said that Apple usually holds its spring event in March, during which the company will likely promote the headset and show previews of other apps.

He also disclosed that Apple would have to drastically cut its production forecasts due to the device's complex design and manufacturing difficulties.

Gurman estimated that Apple will produce fewer than 400,000 Vision Pros by 2024, and that the device will initially only be available in the U.S., with more markets, including Canada and the UK, coming late next year.
