According to Nikkei Asia, companies like Apple and Google have suspended plans to move their hardware production lines from China to Vietnam due to the epidemic.

The report mentions that AirPods 3 are now being mass-produced in China instead of Vietnam, as Apple initially hoped.

Apple previously planned to shift production lines from China to Vietnam, but that process was interrupted because of the outbreak in Vietnam.

A Bloomberg report previously said that Apple and Samsung suppliers were organizing Vietnamese workers to sleep in their factories to minimize disruptions from the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic and to guarantee normal operations.

In addition to Apple, Google's upcoming Pixel 6 smartphone series will be mass-produced in China, despite the company had planned to move the production of the phones to northern Vietnam early last year.
