Amazon strikes deal with UK's three spy agencies to host secret data

Asian Tech Press (Oct 26) -- The UK's three spy agencies have signed up with AWS, Amazon's cloud computing subsidiary to host their categorised material, according to the Financial Times.

The deal is said to promote the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence in intelligence activities.

Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), the UK's indicators intelligence physique, has been advocating the procurement of a highly secure cloud system that will be used by sister agencies MI5 and MI6, as well as other government departments in joint operations, the report said.
