Asia Tech Wire (June 20) -- Alibaba's work collaboration app DingTalk has confirmed that it has been serving hundreds of Chinese companies in their overseas expansion.

There were Chinese media reports on Thursday that DingTalk has recently defined going overseas as a strategic project, and that several internal departments, including production and research, solutions, sales, and marketing, have deployed staff to form a mixed team.

DingTalk responded to Chinese media outlet Jiemian, "We do have a relevant layout, and at present it is mainly to serve the needs of existing customers to go overseas."

It said it is already serving hundreds of Chinese companies such as JinkoSolar, Trina Solar and Sungrow Power in their overseas scenarios.
