Airbus forced to reject some orders due to huge backlog
Jul.23,2024

Asia Tech Wire (July 23) -- Airbus has had to turn down some airplane orders because of its huge backlog, according to Bloomberg.

Speaking at the Farnborough International Airshow on Tuesday, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury said market demand was greater than Airbus' ability to supply narrow-body aircraft.

Faury said the company had to turn down orders because it could not deliver them in the time frame requested by customers.

He expects supply chain problems to continue for several years and said Airbus is seeking a balance between supply and demand.
